Race 2 McFarlanes Hill Training | Exploration
Whilst the park is best uncovered in the race atmosphere, it is accessible to all with many options to explore short routes.

Walking Track Circuit - 5km - Access via Ingrams Rd Entry
Right on our doorstep is the opportunity to be running in rainforest like surrounds. Single tracks take you over creeks and which cascade into waterfalls at times of peak rainfall. Running this circuit is a true trail running experience all gathered in only 5km.
Just beyond the Cnr of Felltimber and Ingrams Rd there is a small parking area on the left. Start your run by heading onto Ingrams rd. After a short climb you will find the turnstile on the left. Head Straight up the fire trail to the high point where you will reach another turnstile and fear left to join the walking track. The track takes and anticlockwise direction eventually linking back to the fire trail you initial climbed. Turn right heading back towards the Ingrams rd turnstile and complete your route back to the starting point.
Summit Loop - 5km - Access via Coyles Rd North Entry
A truly rewarding climb of McDonalds Hill (aka Klings Hill) that reveals the most stunning vantage point of Albury Wodonga and beyond into the Riverina. Vast open plains reveal panoramic views that give you an epic sense of freedom.
Drive down Coyles rd until it bears left onto dirt. here you will find space to park and a turnstile to enter the park (Coyles Rd North Entry). Head up the fire trail (This trail is still called 'Coyles Rd' it runs all the way through the middle of the park to join Felltimber Ck Rd and the MTB Park ) .
Once you reach the high point take the turnstile to the right which leads you all the way up to the Mcdonalds Hill Summit. From there its an easy return the way you came or carry on to your left if you wish to complete the loop. at the bottom you will reach a turnstile and again you are back on the Coyles Rd Trail. Head left again following this track until you are back at your starting point.
Go anywhere - Felltimber Ck Rd MTB Park, Coyles Trail South Entry
From this point you are only less than 1km away from joining any of the tracks to take you to the summit, the walking track or through the middle paddock where you can choose to trek up and across McFarlanes Hill.
Don't be afraid to just get on a track and see where it takes you. This park is forgivingto the adventurer because every thing iswithin close vicinity of joining tracks or access points (Civilisation). Leave the fear at home and trek spiritedly.
